Winter Green is an Australian bred cultivar of couch. It has a medium to fine leaf texture, and is a light to medium green grass.

Advantages of Winter Green

Winter Green requires only 4-5 hours of direct sunlight per day. Once established, Winter Green has a low water requirement, and, as it’s name suggests, Winter Green has a very good winter colour retention.

For best mowing results, Winter Green requires mowing with a reel mower.

Disadvantages of Winter Green

Winter Green produces a predominant seed head during the warmer months and has vigorous growth, therefore it requires weekly mowing.

De-thatching is required every two years.
